WhatsApp works on two latest features called Video Call Swap and Locked Voice Message. In Video Call Swap feature, users can switch the type of calls when in the midst of a call. In Locked Voice Message, users can record a voice message much easier. Both features were spotted in WhatsApp for Android betas, but are hidden features, and can’t be accessed by end users.
Video Call Swap Feature:
Using this feature, users can switch between a video and voice call, or vice versa, seamlessly, without ending the current call. If the switch is flipped, it doesn’t mean the voice call will switch to a video call, the other party has to consent to the request.
Locked Voice Message Feature:
Users can use a toggle thing after they have started recording a voice message. This toggle will let users switch to a locked voice message recording, keeping your hands free while you a recording your message. WABetaInfo report said that the feature is being internally tested, and provided screenshots of how the updated UI. Currently, holding down the mic icon in a WhatsApp chat records voice messages, which could be an annoyance for users who want to send lengthy audio messages.
Recently, WhatsApp has officially launched the ‘Delete for Everyone’ feature. Deleting messages for everyone allows you to delete specific messages you have sent to either a group or an individual chat.
